STOLEN CONTAINER, LEGO & SCHOOLBOOKS<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u2013 One Year On, Pressure Mounts \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

A \u20ac20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of a stolen shipping container packed with 5 tons of LEGO and schoolbooks intended for children in Malawi.<\/span><\/p>\n

The container and its contents, valued at more than \u20ac50,000, were stolen from outside a house in Clonaslee, Co. Laois, one year ago (March 2025). <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the time that has passed, the search continues. Fresh information has renewed determination to recover the stolen goods. Evin Joyce, Director of Ulemu.com, the Irish charity that was filling the container, said: \u201cFrom day one, we knew this container couldn\u2019t just vanish. We\u2019ve received new information, which has been passed to An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na. I hope this reward will come to the attention of people with key information to help us get it back.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The \u20ac20,000 reward has been put forward by Cathal O\u2019Connor who is also the leading donor to the charity. Cathal\u2019s family business, O\u2019Connors Cabins, donated the stolen container to the charity in 2021. \u201cThe container and its contents are worth more than \u20ac50,000. It\u2019s a pity that it\u2019s necessary but if this reward money gets the Lego and school books to the children they were donated to, it will be well spent.\u201d said O\u2019Connor. <\/span><\/p>\n
