From day one providing remote health care has been one of the cornerstones of Ulemu.com’s work in Malawi.

Where previously a journey to the nearest hospital would have taken up to 3 hours by rowing boat and motorbike, this delay could prove too long and lead to deaths.

Now with the introduction of an ambulance boat the journey to the mainland takes only 20 minutes and those in need of urgent medical assistance get seen to quicker. As well as those suffering from serious illness this has made it easier on pregnant women going through maternity.
