THE LIFESAVERS' CLUB
The Lifesavers’ Club is the heart of Ulemu.com and our success providing life-saving and life-changing health and education services in extremely poor rural communities in a high quality yet sustainable manner. Lifesavers’ Club members implement all Ulemu.com projects. Lifesavers’ Club members, whether child or adult, agree to uphold the Lifesavers’ Club charter.
Ulemu.com's 3 overall and interlinked objectives are to help extremely poor communities improve their children's health, education and nutrition.
OUR VISION
Articles 25 and 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights should be fulfilled for every child.
Namely, every child should have enough food to grow up healthily. Every child should get the medicines they need when they get sick. And every child should have the chance to learn how to read and write, so they can live with dignity to their greatest potential.
OUR MISSION
Develop low-cost, community-owned, commercially sustainable solutions that leave no child behind by ensuring their access to basic healthcare, quality education and good nutrition, with total transparency so that our method can be replicated and scaled up.
WHO WE ARE
The Lifesavers’ Club began in 2020 to help children in rural Malawi protect their grandparents from Covid-19 by distributing masks, soap and information. When Covid ended, Ulemu.com began in 2021 to help these grandparents and parents improve their children’s health, education and nutrition. In 2025, Ulemu.com and the Lifesavers’ Club is made up of more than 2,000 members, mostly children, mostly in Malawi.
